Solutions
American Droid is a robotics engineering and development firm dedicated to advancing military and public service missions.
Who We Serve, What We Build
Built for America’s Mission Operators
We are building robotics for the operators who keep our country safe, moving, and resilient—not for consumer convenience. American Droid builds niche, mission-first technologies tailored to federal government and military requirements, where strength, precision, ruggedness, and reliability are non-negotiable.
Today, we are developing robotic end-effectors (robotic hands) that combine superior grip strength, fine motor control, and precision manipulation to perform complex tele-operated tasks, such as Combat Casualty Care.
Once we mature the tele-operated robotic hands, we will integrate them onto mobile platforms and vehicles, enabling operators to physically interact with and manipulate real-world environments from a distance—performing critical tasks safely, remotely, and at scale without forward-deploying personnel. One example is a trauma skid with mounted tele-operated robotic hands that can be loaded onto unmanned aircraft to provide remote medical support. We also aim to develop common-sense robotic capabilities for civilian applications, including remotely operated robotic inspection platforms that allow resource-constrained inspectors to conduct more food safety, environmental, and critical infrastructure inspections.
We’re not building general-purpose robots. We are building American-made robotic capabilities for military and public service operators performing critical national support and safety functions.

First, We Are Mastering the Hand, Then the Rest
We’re tackling one of the hardest problems in robotics first: human-level manipulation.
Robots become truly useful only when they can confidently grasp, hold, and operate tools and systems critical to mission success. Unlike many consumer applications, where “good enough” manipulation may suffice, we focus on grip strength, precision, independent joint control, and high-skill capabilities — essential for military, defense, and federal operator missions.
By mastering controllable robotic manipulation for public service and defense, we’re laying the foundation for a new generation of mission-ready robotic systems — designed, built, and supported in the United States.
